Dr. Terry Plank: Biography
After receiving an A.B. from Dartmouth College, a Ph.D. from the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University, and a post-doc at Cornell University, Dr. Terry Plank held faculty positions at the University of Kansas, and Boston University, where she is now. Dr. Plank has studied volcanoes in the Philippines, Central America and the Aleutians, and has sailed on five research cruises, including Leg 185 of the Ocean Drilling Program to the western Pacific, where she served as co-chief scientist. Dr. Plank was also the recipient of the Houtermans Medal from the European Association for Geochemistry and the Donath Medal from the Geological Society of America.
